New Moon Gong Meditation and Yoga Nidra

Time to let go…

Let us honor the cyclical nature of the moon together. As the lunar energy increases from the New Moon towards the Full Moon, perfect conditions are created for planting seeds, launching new ideas and to really consider the qualities we want to grow in our lives. During this workshop, there will be a seated meditation, incorporating mantra, pranayama and mudra to prepare the mind and body for the healing vibrations of the Gong. Then lying down in relaxation an affirmation (sankalpa) can be acknowledged during the led practice of Yoga Nidra, which will lead into the Gong Bath; inviting the seeds of our intentions to grow and manifest. Just bring your presence and willingness to let go and surrender, allowing the healing properties of the Gong to revive your heart and spirit.

Amy’s passion for playing the Gong began around 2009, and then in 2010 she studied with Don Conreaux. She has been teaching monthly New & Full Moon Gong Bath Meditation workshops since. She weaves her understanding and experience of relaxation techniques, pranayama, yoga nidra and mantra meditation into the Gong sessions. The Gong strengthens the parasympathetic nervous system, tunes up the glandular system and slows the brain waves down, creating sound conditions for deep relaxation and healing. The Gong also has an accumulative healing effect on the mind, body and spirit, inviting clarity, vibrancy, intuition and awareness to resonate within our being.
