Antonia is trained in Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, pregnancy massage and hot stone massage.
Antonia can tailor the massage to you. Following a short chat at the start of your session, let Antonia know what it is you need and would like from your massage. Your body may need a slightly different treatment each time you visit; so make sure you check in with where you are, emotionally and physically, this will help Antonia ensure you get the most out of your session.
Antonia has over 14 years of experience in massage and anatomy. She can work with you to create a treatment plan for a specific problem, as well as paying attention to holistic solutions for mind, body and spirit, attending to potential underlying issues.
Antonia is also trained in Myofascial Release (John F Barnes method). This has been her driving force for the past two years, believing that working on the fascia (connective tissue) is the missing link for easing long term physical, emotional and habitual trauma.
Don’t forget that massage combined with your yoga practice can help to gently open tight hips and chest muscles. Strengthen your poses on the mat, through relaxing on the massage table.
Choose a massage type that suits your mood, or ask for a combination of all three:
Pure relaxation with beautiful essential oils to help you unwind and let your day float away. All over massage can be gentle or firmer, to full allow your muscles to feel soothed and happy.
All over body massage, or focus on specific areas of tension, to draw out knots and niggles. With the use of Myofascial Release on target areas where long term stress is held, Antonia can work through blockages and release hidden tension; can help to lessen headaches, anxiety and mild depression.
Perfect for minds and bodies that have experienced injury or trauma; or if you are in training and need a deep tissue sports massage for recovery. Myofascial Release techniques will be used to access the connective tissue and work to create more space and loosen restricted areas through longer held positions. Expect discussion, tips and takeaway practices to continue to release the aches and pains outside of the treatment room.
