I work quickly and collaboratively to mobilise your strengths and resources to empower you to solve your own problems. My philosophy is to ensure that you develop the skills to establish a sense of mastery over your own life; and my overall aim is to help you become your own therapist.

 

 

Clinical expertise:

Jay is a qualified and experienced CBT/REBT therapist (a combination of cognitive therapy and behavioural psychotherapy) and registered on an NHS Choices approved listing for accredited therapists and counsellors.  She also works with a private rehabilitation clinic in Notting Hill where she supports clients suffering with addiction (from substance misuse to severe anxiety/depression).  Her previous experience includes the UK-renowned Priory clinic.  She is undertaking an MSc in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health with The Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN) at Kings College London. She is a member of the National Counselling Society.

 

Jay has successfully treated a wide range of problems including, but not limited to:

  • Emotional problems, including anxiety, depression, hurt, guilt, shame, anger, jealousy and envy
  • Relationship issues
  • Addictions, including drug, alcohol, gambling, gaming, self-harm, co-dependency and food addictions
  • Lack of confidence and low self esteem
  • Finding the motivation to make sustainable changes
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Spiritual crisis or loss of meaning in life.

 

Free initial assessment:

Jay is currently offering a free 20 minute initial consultation via Skype/Facetime, where you can briefly discuss why you are seeking support and how Jay might be able to help you.

Book your free initial assessment in advance online – appointments available on Thursdays. Jay will call you at your scheduled time.

 

After initial assessment, Jay will discuss the number of sessions required. Whilst this varies, the average number of sessions for optimal outcomes usually ranges from 8-20.

 

Jay is available for face-to-face therapy sessions on Saturday and Sunday from 1.00-5.00pm (last appointment 4.00pm) in Studio 2. Sessions are 50 minutes. Individual session rate is £80.

 

For added convenience, Jay also is available for Skype sessions during the daytime Tuesday – Friday. Check online for appointments.

 

Cancellation Policy:
Please note that once booked and paid for, there are no refunds available. If the appointment is cancelled more than 7 days in advance of the session, you will be able to reschedule the session. Appointments that are missed or cancelled with less than 7 days will be chargeable at 100% of the cost of the session. By booking an appointment you kindly agree to these terms.

Bite-size workshops:

Jay will also be facilitating a range of 1-hour workshops, for up to ten people, in Studio 2. These sessions will include a 30 minute talk from Jay, followed by interactive exercises, and an opportunity to share or to ask questions.

Each workshop is £12. On a Sunday evening 6.30-7.30pm.
