Yin yoga uses longer held floor based postures to provide a satisfying stretch and release of the deeper tissues of the body. The body is gently coaxed open by softening the muscles and allowing time and gravity to do the work, using props to support where appropriate.
This 2 hour long workshop is a deep immersion in the balancing and nurturing benefits of a Yin practice, counteracting the daily stresses and strains of modern living by triggering the parasympathetic nervous system, crucial for maintaining equilibrium in body and mind. As you slow down, cultivate a sense of stillness and become more present, the mind will loosen its grip on the constant thinking state and you will come back to your true nature; awake and aware and sensing with an open heart and open mind. You will leave the workshop feeling more grounded and with a greater sense of well-being.
